Blogger Recognition Award

In acceptance of the award, there are a few things recipients need to do.

How did your blog start?

I always had a love for writing and expressing what was on my heart but I never really took it seriously. I began researching different blogging platforms right before my 26th birthday and connected with a lady from my Women’s group at church. I wasn’t necessarily looking for fame, recognition or acceptance I just wanted to make an impact and I wanted to share my story. You can read more about my journey in my latest post Comparison Kills

What are two pieces of advice to new bloggers? 

First of all, I want to encourage every blogger to write their story from their perspective without fear or hesitation.  Know that not everyone is going to agree with everything you write and that is perfectly fine.  Be confident in every post you publish and in your vision for yourself and your blog.
Secondly, be confident in who you are! Never compare you progress or lack thereof to another person or blog. Surround yourself with a positive, uplifting community of bloggers and know that you will find your way. Don’t worry about figuring out your niche or finding the perfect template just write, stay focused and be confident! You have an amazing gift and the world is waiting on you!
